Hachis Parmentier (french comfort food!) 


1 tbsp of olive oil 

Salt and pepper to season

2 onions, chopped

500g of mince beef

500g sausage meat 

mashed potatoes

Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the onions and fry until brown. Add the beef and sausage meat, season, and fry until cooked through. Then layer in an oven proof dish – one layer of meat, then one layer of mashed potatoes, then another layer of meat then a final topping of mashed potatoes. Cook in a preheated oven at 350F until the top is brown and the sides are bubbling (usually about 40 minutes). Enjoy with a green salad!
