Slow cooked turkey bolognese

I adore my slow cooker. I’m obsessed especially on busy fun days with Poppy when I would rather be out enjoying the sunshine or the library instead of being at home… so here is a new totally made up recipe for slow cooked turkey bolognese.

Ingredients

500g turkey mince
Olive oil
2 tins of pureed tomatoes
2 tbsp of tomato paste
1 tbsp Lea & Perrins
3 bay leaves
2 tbsp dried onion flakes
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp dried basil
Pepper to season

Directions

Brown the meat in a frying pan with a tiny bit of olive oil. Spray your slow cooker bowl with vegetable spray. Add the cooked meat. Add all of the ingredients. Stir. Cook on low for 4-6 hours.

You could either serve it directly onto cooked pasta or cook pasta and mix it in with the sauce and bake it like a pasta bake with some cheese and parmesan on top! The choice is yours.
