Lemon and Chilli Catfish

So we’re now in Tennessee and I’ve only ever had catfish once so I thought I would try it again. This recipe is really easy and quick but was very tasty and healthy.


1 tsp olive oil
The juice of one lemon
2 green jalapeños
2 tsp minced garlic
2 catfish fillets


Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the garlic and jalapeños until the jalapeños start to sizzle and brown a little. Add the fillets on top of the jalapeños. Cook each side of the fillets for about 4 minutes turning once. The time needed to cook the filets will depend on how thick they are. Mine took two sessions on each side to be just right.

Enjoy with asparagus and boiled potatoes.
